Capital Schinkel is a dedicated member of our unit and the Canadian Cadet Organization.

Description:
The Canadian Forces' Decoration is a Canadian award bestowed upon members of the Canadian Armed Forces who have completed twelve years of military service, with certain conditions.


Training Packages

Recently, Officers delivered training packages to all our current cadets. This was a done in order to help our cadets maintain their uniforms at home and to give them training aids the staff felt would be helpful in a virtual learning environment. 

Each Cadet Received:

1.     Double Sided Whiteboard
2.     White board markers
3.     White board erasers
4.  Pens, pencils, rubber eraser  and a pencil sharpener
5.     Paper
6.     Que cards
7.     Tape Measure and Uniform Measuring instructions
8.     Hair Net, bobby pins, hair spray and a comb (females)
9.     Shaving kit (males)
10.  Sewing kit
11.  And some added treats
12.  Various sizes of ropes for practicing knots and lashing
13.  A letter from the Commanding Officer 

 We hope that you find these kits useful as we transition from our normal in person activities to learning from home.

This was put together to thank our cadets for their support and patience as we navigate a new normal. 
They have been so great with showing up regularly, participating and bearing with us as we all adjusted to teaching online.

In Person Training - POSTPONED

Please be aware, that the carefully thought through decision by our chain of command has been made, to further suspend all in person training activities until further notice. As the safety of our cadets, their families and the community is our main priority, we are in full support of this decision.

However, training is not lost. We will continue to host virtual training each Monday night and are looking at exciting activities to hold on December.

Thank you for your continued support and patience as we navigate a new normal and work to develop a dynamic virtual program

Training Packages:

Training packages are in the middle of being delivered to all Cadets on strength at the moment.
They include materials the staff thought to be important for at home training. Please have them with you each week for your lessons. We hope you find the following items to be useful to you.

  1. Double sided white board with eraser and white board markers;

  2. Selection of pens/pencils/erasers/pencil sharpener;

  3. 8.5x11 lined paper;

  4. Que Cards;

  5. Measuring Tape and instructions on how to measure uniform parts;

  6. 2 pieces of rope to practice tying knots;

  7. 2 pieces of para cords (also to practice;

  8. Sewing Kit for badges;

  9. Boot polishing kit;

  10. Various information sheets for you to browse;

  11. A zipper pouch to contain it all


Return Update:

We will be returning to regular training on September 14th, 2020; However, training will be conducted VIRTUALLY.

By now you have receieved an email from our mailing list with details and our Facebook page has been updaed as well with resources and links to prepare for our return.

All of your training meeting links have been added to the calendar below

If you are in Green or Red Star you will click the Junior Links
If you are in Silver or Gold you will click the Senior Links
Master Cadets will have their own link; however, if there is no Master Cadet classes scheduled, please join the Senior Class for that evening>

We plan on making your virutal learning experience a fun and engaging one.

Welcome Back Night

Our welcome night is currently scheduled for Monday September 14th. 

Please bring with you the following:

1. Health card (if your health card number was changed or updated)

2. Any uniform pieces that do no fit. If you want to get a head start on ordering your pieces please fill out this form

3. We are asking parents/guardians to stick around for a bit. We will have a few things for you to sign and look over and the CO will be doing a briefing. 

4. If you have any questions or have a friend who you think would be interested in joining, please contact [email protected] . Our administration officer will be happy to assist you.
