2814 HSB is sponsered by the Sponsoring Committee (SSC)
The SSC is a non-porfit group of parent and community volunteers that support the Commanding Officer and corps staff in running the corps’ operations. The SSC handles the finances for the corps and facilitates the operation of corps activities, and programs that are not funded by DND, such as venue rentals, transportation, and various corps teams.
How can you be involved?
+ Meetings
The SSC depends on the support of those willing to lend a few hours a month and would encourage you to join us. Meetings are held bi-weekly and all are welcome to attend.
+ Fundraisers and Events
The SSC is involved with planning events and fundraisers for the core, including Little Ceasers Pizza Drive, Value Village Donation Drive, Tagging and a Unit Bazaar. The SSC also runs the canteen on training.
